DJ Getlive! (MRE, Pepperseed, NYNY) is a native New Yorker hailing from Jamaica, Queens. As a product of NYC’s late 90s hip-hop environment, he arrived at DJing first as a b-boy, then as a practitioner on the turntablist and battle DJ scenes. As a club DJ, he works to represent the legacy of his city’s wide-ranging dance cultures—connecting styles, genres, and eras in the mix whenever he plays.
